On Monday I posted my (super awesome) video and review of the Thirsties Diaper Cover and Duo Hemp Prefold.

I was put in my place. I assumed the Duo Hemp Prefold was just another prefold, but actually, it is really great. The open design really aids in cleaning and drying. The hemp and cotton jersey has so far washed up incredibly soft without any pilling.

About the Thirsties Diaper Cover:

This is my first pregnancy, and I would really love to cloth diaper. I have completely submerged myself in the task of learning about cloth and the different types, and want to start making my own. My issue is, I need to feel and see the products rather than just read about them. I read a lot about hemp being a great material, so I think these prefolds would be great, especially since I’m not sure if our son-on-the-way will be a heavy wetter or not. PLUS if these are good for newborns, it would cut down on how many newborn dipes I need!

I, of course, want to add to my stash. I recently pulled out our cloth diapers out of storage in preparation for our baby boy due in December, and apparently my stash was a lot more girly than I remembered! So I am in desperate need of gender neutral/boy diapers. Also I didn’t start cloth-diapering my 2 year old until she was 7 months (and using much fewer diapers per day than a newborn, so I just didn’t have enough period. I love thirsties’ products, for one. I really love finding new covers and prefolds and diapers in general.
