The Snappi- A Cloth Diaper Game Changer {Giveaway- 3 Winners}

Yesterday I brought you a video comparing the world famous Snappi and the new Boingos.  Today is the first giveaway of many for this Everything but Cloth Diapers event.  It may be small but EVERYBODY needs a Snappi (or 3!).

Snappi Giveaway

[typography font=”Crafty Girls” size=”20″ size_format=”px”]The Snappi was invented over 25 years ago in South Africa by a father, Hennie Visser, who was frustrated by diaper pins.[/typography]

He had grown tired of pricking his fingers and didn’t like that he couldn’t seem to get a snug fit.  He thought making a fastener that was stretchy with grips would make things easier.  After a few prototypes he had a revolutionary diaper fastener that would modernize cloth diapers.  In 1987 it was available to retailers and soon found a home on store shelves all over the world, and eventually online.  According to this article over 65 Million have been sold!

For me, it is hard to imagine a world without a Snappi, probably because there hasn’t really been one!  I was born in 1985.  I showed a Snappi to my grandmother, who cloth diapered all 3 of her babies in the 1950’s, and she was amazed at this little invention.

[typography font=”Crafty Girls” size=”18″ size_format=”px”]To us this seems like an everyday item, but I cannot help but think that without the Snappi- there would be no modern cloth diaper movement. [/typography]

An easier way to fasten diapers leads to more ideas, more innovations, and more cloth diaperers.  If I had approached my husband about cloth diapering and gave him a pins only option I don’t know that he would have been on board.  The Snappi is user-friendly, very effective at what it does, and inexpensive.

Today Snappi is offering 3 readers each a Daygo-3 pack (Dayglo Yellow/Dayglo Orange/Dayglo Green mix per pack).  Not one of you can say you don’t need a Snappi, or need more, or that you don’t have a friend who could use them if you won.  So… at least put your name in the hat below and try your luck.  With 3 winners your odds are event better!  Ends September 3.  Open to US/Canada.
