First Impressions:

The box the EZ Bundle comes in is rather large, however you have to remember there are parts to the 4 items inside.  Opening the box overwhelmed me a little.  There were what seemed to be a lot of parts.  I took a breather and came back to the box to tackle my project.  In reality, it was not that hard.  I am like a man in that I don’t like manuals.  I winged it.  I looked at the pictures and compared parts, laying things out that seemed to go together.  4 green pieces went together to create the base of the High Chair/ Toddler Chair stand.  No screws needed.  The infant chair/swing base does require a few screws.  I found it hard to screw them in with a regular screwdriver, so a drill if you have one around is definitely handy!  The swing needed a few screws, and my hubby actually did that part.  Overall it only took 20 minutes of assembly between all of the different pieces.

High Chair: Honestly, this chair is not missing anything in my opinion.  Some people like their chairs to recline but I have never found this necessary.  I believe if you like to give a child a bottle then this is something you need.  My baby never had a bottle and when he learned to use a sippy he didn’t need to be reclined.  The tray is large enough for any dish I own.  The fabric of the seat is easy to wipe clean, another bonus!

Toddler Seat:  My son loves this seat!  As soon as I put it down he ran over to sit in it.  I think toddlers in general love having their own, easy to access, chair.  Unlike our upholstery chair, I felt good when he ate in it knowing I could wipe it clean.  He did often try to sit a cup on the “arm” but it is sloped and just falls off.  He is used to the seat he already had which has a flat arm.

Infant Seat: Sometimes, you just need to put a baby in a safe spot.  Especially if you have this at a home where there aren’t other baby gadgets, this seat is going to come in handy.  Instead of putting the baby on a couch, bed, or floor, you can use this reclining seat which has a buckle.  It might not vibrate or play music, but they don’t always have to!  There is a little rattle toy attached which can entertain the baby.

Swing: The swing has 6 speed settings.  I will have to test out how it goes with a baby and how many pounds it can swing with, but so far it seems to be working great.  My son is just too large for it!

Big Picture: Ok, here is what I love about this.  Cheap, cute gender neutral print and color scheme, and space saving.  But what I really love is the potential for this to make trips to the grandparent’s house that much easier.  For 150.00 you or your parents can buy a simple item that will change how your visits will go.  Let me tell you, I would have killed for a swing for my son when we visited our family.  He napped in a swing at home most days.  There, napping took place on me.  I also didn’t have a place to sit him down…. there was a bouncer but it was upstairs more often than not, and carrying it up and down was a hassle.  There, there was the high chair conundrum.  My well meaning in laws bought a clamp on high chair that was fabric.  It works well for my son now, but it was so soft and low, eating was hard when he was younger, and clean up was a nightmare!  I wanted a regular plastic, easy to clean, chair.  I also think having a toddler chair is such a cool possibility.  There is a tiny wicker chair that he likes to use but it is more for decoration.  He sits on the floor to watch TV and the toddler chair would be much more comfortable!

150.00 is a small price to pay when you want the comforts of home!  And of course, if you are just starting out buying the baby basics and you have a tight space and/or a tight budget, this is a pretty sweet set up!

Sustainable Babyish Multi Snapless Review

Ease of Use ✰✰✰✰✰ The Sbish Multi Snapless has one of the easiest, user friendly operations. You just fold down, pull left, pull right, and snappi or pin. If you are pinning it might take a few seconds longer unless you are a pro, but even if you pin you only need one! You really can’t screw this diaper up. You just lay the doublers in place as well. The only way you can mess this up is with your cover. If you have a cover with snaps it will add some time.

Bang for the Buck ✰✰✰✰ This diaper has a pretty good price point at 18.00. Yes, you can get an AIO or Pocket for this price. However, this diaper outperforms those at night, plus it is organic and made extremely well. The other, well known snapless nighttime diaper is also a few dollars more. AND when you buy this diaper from Sloomb they plant a tree! That is money well spent.

Performance ✰✰✰✰✰ I can’t tell you how happy I am to have this diaper in my stash. I always use these at night if they are clean. They are simpler to put on a screaming baby at night since they lack snaps and they have solved any leaking problems we used to have.

Fit ✰✰✰✰ I love the fit of this diaper on my son right now. He fits into it really well all around. I will say that I don’t think the legs are small enough for a newborn. They almost gape on my son’s chunky thighs. I cannot say this from experience since I only recently got these though. The fold over rise is very adjustable so I think this will work for smaller babies and toddlers.

Overall- This diaper gets an A+++  from me!  You can’t help but love a company as awesome as Sbish.  They stand behind their values and make an outstanding product.  After using these I have switched over to fitteds for nighttime for good.  I just love knowing that when my son wakes me in the morning there will be no leaks!

If you love Sloomb/ Sbish, follow them on Twitter. They love to tweet coupon codes, stockings, and sales!

Booroi Cover Video Review

Booroi Cover Video Review

The folks at Booroi were kind enough to send a trial package for me to review.  Take a look at the video, then keep scrolling for your chance to win a trial package!

Ease of Use ✰✰✰✰ The Booroi is a side snapping cover, which is obviously harder to put on than a velcro cover. It is also slightly more difficult to put on than a front snapping cover, but not enough to take away another star. It is also easy to wash since it is just a cover.

Bang for the Buck ✰✰✰✰✰ The price point is a very affordable 11.95 at most stores. Even better, for 24.95 you can get a trial package with a cover, small wetbag, 3 bamboo wipes, and a bamboo prefold. You can’t buy a whole diaper in some cases for that! If you were to use 1-2 dollar a piece prefolds and have 4 covers in each size, you could still cloth diaper for under 200$ with this system. I am really excited about this because it can open up cloth diapering to those parents on a budget.

Performance ✰✰✰✰✰ A great cover for day and nighttime. It held in the messy poops and didn’t allow any wetness out at all. The bamboo prefold is also absorbent, but not exceptionally trim. It is even good for overnights.

Fit ✰✰✰✰✰ The cover has a more “modest” fit; it comes down lower on the legs than others. To me, it looks more comfortable this way. The elastic is soft and not too tight; it doesn’t leave red marks on my son. At 18 pounds, there are still plenty more snaps available for when my son gets larger. I would be willing to bet that most babies won’t even need the large size, which is a money saver!

Overall- I was really excited about this cover, and it lived up to the rave reviews and hype! The innovative design, the bold colors, the fit, and of course the outstanding performance make this cover a must try! Plus, Booroi has exceptional customer service. I am more than happy with this diaper.

Kissaluvs Marvel Video Review

Today I am happy to share the video review for the new Kissaluvs Marvel.  Many of you may know Kissaluvs for their famous “KL0″ which is the newborn size 0 fitted.  Now they have come out with a”designer” fitted, which currently comes in three patterns.

Ease of Use ✰✰✰✰

As always, a star has automatically been deducted because of the snaps. The good news is, as far as snaps go, this one is pretty user friendly. Because of the fold down rise, it goes on quicker. Yes, it can be hard to put a snapping diaper (any) on a wriggling baby. There are 6 snaps or less depending on how tight you are snapping the diaper, which can be challenging. I am also going to say that putting a velcro diaper is almost as hard, so it still gets four stars. The fold down rise is very self explanatory for an experienced cloth diaperer, but if the babysitter is coming, you may still want to pull out your AIO or pocket diaper.

Bang for the Buck ✰✰✰

The Marvel retails for 24.95, which is pretty pricey. You can buy a diaper that has a waterproof shell for 10 dollars less. When you consider that you have to buy a cover (which can range from 10-100+ depending on your preference) there are a lot of cheaper options. However, in its category (boutique print fitteds) it is a good price. Similar diapers can cost 35.00. It works as well or better as the more expensive boutique diapers, but if you are looking for something for just function, there are cheaper avenues. If you are after the cute factor, 24.95 is a great price!

Performance ✰✰✰✰✰

This one is a five star! I cannot tell you how happy I have been with the Marvel! In fact, I have been using it as one of my staple overnight diapers. It doesn’t leave any red marks or snap impressions. The absorbency is top notch also! 12 hours and no leaks! I think the proof is in the pudding!

Fit ✰✰✰✰✰

I am going to give this a five star also. I am happy with the weight limits set by Kissaluvs- 10-40 lbs. There are many one size diapers that say they fit an 8 pound baby, but they usually don’t. Kissaluvs has been more realistic. Although I haven’t tested it on a 10 lb infant, I think it would fit one. There is also lots of room for growth. It is a nice and simple adjustment system.

Overall-

I am very pleased with the Marvel, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cute and absorbent fitted. There are tons of positives- the look, fit, performance. There are a few negatives- the lack of more “boyish” prints (which I am sure they will come out with at some point in the future), the visible inner which is white (but will most of the time be covered.)

Green Acre Diaper (GAD) Cloth Diaper Video Review

Ease of Use ✰✰✰✰

The only reason this diaper wouldn’t get 5 stars is that snaps are not the easiest thing for some people to pick up.  Side snaps take some getting used to, but they are worth it for that nice clean front.  The pocket opening is wide enough that stuffing isn’t a chore.  The hemp insert takes quite a bit of prepping, but for the amount of absorbency you get for the thin insert it makes up fir the time spent.

Bang for the Buck ✰✰✰✰✰

The diaper shell costs 15.95 and a hemp insert will run you 6.00.  The microfiber insert costs 4.00.  For a hemp/ shell combo you are looking at 21.95.  This is about middle of the pack.  You can get diapers for cheaper, but you can also find plenty that cost more.  However, you get a well made diaper with luxurious Organic Bamboo Velour, which is a sustainable resource.  Microfleece will run you the same but it has the bonus of wicking moisture away from baby’s skin.  Another reason you will be willing to pay the $$$ for this diaper is that they come in the best colors!

Performance✰✰✰✰

The hemp insert is really absorbent.  We used this diaper for long periods of time just to make sure it could hold a lot of pee.  My son isn’t a heavy wetter, so this is why we left it on for a while.  It worked for naps, overnight (I did insert a microfiber doubler to be safe) and regular daytime use.

Fit ✰✰✰✰✰

The Medium diaper should fit a baby from 12-25 pounds.  My son is about 18 lbs now.  He was in the middle snap on each side, although sometimes I could snap the top set of snaps on the tightest, and the lower thigh snaps to the medium.  I was really impressed that these diapers didn’t leave any red marks on my son.  Most diapers leave marks, which doesn’t bother me immensely, but not having marks is a plus!  I see plenty of room to grow in this size as well.
