Traveling With a Baby During a Pandemic!

Saturday will be Fletcher’s first flight. Unfortunately, we are flying to Texas. See the news lately? Yeah, that is where we are going. Am I scared? Absolutely!!! My sister called today and begged me to stay home. I am not saying that my son is worth less than the cost of two plane tickets, but I am saying that we planned this trip a long time ago and there is family anxious to meet him.

So how am I going to protect my son from the Swine Flu? We are going to be in a busy airport, an enclosed plane, and *ahem* in San Antonio Texas. I am going to wear him in my Ergo carrier in the airport and on the plane. I just hope that is going to be enough.

As if this wasn’t enough, I have not even started to pack. I have at least 4 loads of laundry to do tomorrow, including diapers. I have to strategically pack so that we only check one bag. Luckily our family from NC is driving to TX and they have brought some clothes and fun stuff for Fletcher. I am using G Diapers and Gro Baby so I won’t have to pack a luggage full of fluff.

Since I will be out of town the blog won’t be updated as often as usual, but when I get back I will have lots of updates about traveling with a cloth diapered baby. Wish us luck.
