I have been wanting to preform and share this review since last September. I first saw the Kissaluvs Marvel AIO when I went to the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas. This diaper was by far my favorite new reveal at the show. I couldn’t wait for it to become available for consumers and neither could my roomate, Sarah, who own Diaper Daisy. She was also impressed by the diaper. We talked about working together for a review and giveaway when it came out, and we did! Sarah sent one diaper fro me to review, and will be giving a DDL reader one of these diapers!
Ease of Use ✰✰✰✰ I would LOVE to give this diaper a 5, because it really is, but to a newbie using cloth diapers the snaps might still give you trouble. If you have used snaps before then this diaper is a breeze. There are 4 snaps total to affix when changing the baby. Of course taking the diaper off of the baby is even easier. No unstuffing or attaching laundry tabs. Just put it in the pail! To size the diaper attach 3 snaps in the rise you need.
Bang for the Buck✰✰✰✰ For an All in One of this design, one that is quick drying, the price point is pretty darn good. This diaper retails for 23.00. The Bum Genius Organic AIO is 25, and the Easy Fit by Bummis is 27.00. One reason for this is that the materials are not as expensive. The soaker is microfiber and the lining is microfleece. However, the diaper is well made and is unique.
Performance ✰✰✰✰✰ So I do love this diaper. The soaker is absorbent enough for daytime, and for some even nights. I didn’t need to add an insert, but you can if you need it. The fit was good, no leaks or gaps.
Fit✰✰✰✰ I liked the fit of this diaper, on the medium snap it was perfect for my son. I can’t attest to the newborn setting and what age it starts fitting, or how many pounds it truly lasts until on the unsnapped. The legs left no red marks, or the back. I am happy my son has more room for growth in it because it has become a favorite.
Overall- The diaper is pretty awesome. All of the benefits of a pocket (quick drying, insert getting clean outside of the diaper) but the function and form of an All in One. There is no stuffing, just pulling or turning the diaper right sided in, depending on your washer’s agitation. For me, the diaper flipping inside out. Turning it was still easier than stuffing.
I was contacted about doing a review of the Tot Wraps diaper a while back. The maker was very proud of her diaper, as she should be, and boasted that it was a one size that truly fit a newborn. So, since I wanted to test that out I had DDL Contributer Kristen review the diaper. Not only did she have an adorable newborn who could try it, she also has a toddler! This review was written and performed by Kristen using DDL’s star rating system. I was also sent a diaper so that I could film the video review.
Ease of Use ✰✰✰✰ The Tot Wraps Dream Diaper OS AIO Hybrid is a snap diaper, which in my opinion, makes it a little more difficult to use. The first time I used it on either my toddler or my newborn, I had to figure out which snaps to use and then each subsequent time, I was trying to remember which ones to use. But after using it regularly, I got accustomed to the positioning. Aside from snaps though, it is super easy to use in that you don’t need to stuff it or figure anything else out in order to use it.
Bang for the Buck✰✰✰✰✰ At $18, this diaper is very affordable, especially since you can use it from 8lbs up to 40lbs. I was able to use it on my newborn when she was around 8lbs and also used it on my toddler, who is around 21lbs and it fit both really well. The rise is also high enough when unsnapped all the way that I think it really would fit a 40lb toddler. Also, there are a few colors and prints to choose from, although I would like to see more offered.
Performance ✰✰✰✰ I had no problems with leaking with my newborn and it was able to contain her messy poops really well. I love the inner fabric because it is so soft and I felt comfortable putting it against my newborn’s skin. I was concerned that it might stain but I didn’t have any issues with that, even after I switched to a high efficiency washer and had to figure out a new washing “system”, so I was impressed
I did have a leak when I used this diaper with my 16 month old. She is a very heavy wetter but I wanted to see how absorbent the Zorb soaker inside was. She had pretty substantial leaking so the next time I decided to add an insert to increase absorbency and I didn’t have a problem with leaks after that.
Fit✰✰✰✰✰ This diaper fit my newborn and my toddler very well. I was impressed that I was able to get it snug on both of them, and it didn’t leave bad red marks like some of the other diapers I have used. It is a pretty slim diaper, thanks to the Zorb soaker, so my newborn was able to fit in the regular clothes/pants that she would normally wear and even with the added soaker, my toddler was able to wear her regular sized pants as well.
Overall- I think this is a great OS AIO diaper! It worked well for both of my kids and it dried faster than any of my other AIO diapers, which was pretty amazing considering the soaker is sewn in. It is trim for them to wear under clothing and it follows through on what it advertises…it really can fit an 8lb newborn! It contained messes well and did a good job absorbing for my newborn and held up well after I added an extra insert for my toddler. $18 is a reasonable price to pay for a well made, well performing diaper that can last from newborn stage up to potty training!

Bamboo fiber fabrics are luxuriously soft and feel kind of like silk. Bamboo is quickly renewable and shares many of the wonderful properties of cotton; superior absorbency, breathability and does not trap heat.
The microfleece in these diapers is made from a blend of (Rayon made from) Bamboo (33%) and polyester (67%) which offers silky softness matched with durability. This microfleece will not pill so your baby’s bottom will be cradled in silky softness change after change.
Hidden inside is a full layer of heavy weight cotton flannel for an added all over absorbency and breathability. Securely attached is a multi layer thick and thirsty cotton terry soaker pad.
The diaper fastens with our own Doodlez tape (hook and loop) to provide a secure hold while remaining very soft to the touch.
Gentle elastics at the legs and waist provide a comfortable fit. Ease of Use ✰✰✰✰✰ This is a diaper you can trust with your babysitter or Daddy! It goes on super simply, just like a disposable. The video shows how easy it really is. You will have to affix the laundry tabs with a simple fold back, rather than looking for laundry tabs. Bang for the Buck ✰✰✰ The Bamboo Doodlez retails for around 20.00. This is a little more than I would want to spend for a sized, All in One diaper. You are paying for the super smooth and soft bamboo lining that your baby feels. Yes, it is so soft! There is plenty of absorbency too. Performance ✰✰✰✰✰ I have had a great experience testing this diaper. It has performed well in all capacities, day time, naps, and over night. I want you to know that my son is not a heavy wetter. Even though it worked for us overnight but might not work for everyone. For comparison, he can use a BG One Size insert and a microfiber doubler overnights and they aren’t soaked in the morning. Fit ✰✰✰✰ The first thing I noticed is that this has a lower rise that many other medium diapers. It still fits my son, but it might not fit him in the rise as long as some other. The legs were a great fit on him, snug enough to hold everything in but not too tight. I’d say his thighs are average for a 12 month old. There is lots of room left on the waist for growth as well. Overall- I think it is great to have an all in one diaper around for going out or for people not familiar with cloth diapers. I love how the lining is colored and is made from a bamboo blend which is incredibly soft. I would like it to have a pocket to add absorbency. It also takes 2-3 cycles in the dryer or many, many hours of line drying. This is the case with any sewn down all-in-one. You pay in drying time for convenience.
If you want to try one, you can find them at many retailers in the US and Canada. Monkey Doodlez are made in Canada.

Giveaway ends on November 9. Winner drawn using random.org. Winner must contact me within 48 hours or a new one will be drawn.
I was asked to review the Magic All made by Baby Beehinds. I was able to peruse all of the lovely Baby Beehinds products when I attended ABC Kids Expo. I also reviewed their Wool Cover during my fabulous “All About Wool” Week recently.
I was really excited about reviewing the Magic-All Minky because it was my first Minky Diaper. There are a lot of minky fans out there, but I had never gotten around to trying one myself. I received the Magic-All Minky in Licorice, and loved having a black diaper! I will say that the product photos on the website show licorice as having a grey sheen, which was not the case in real life. It is a dark black diaper.
About Baby Beehinds Magic-All:
Baby BeeHinds Minkee Magic Alls are a ‘true’ AIO with a twist! Made with a velvety soft Minkee/PUL outer, non-pill suede cloth inner and sewn-in soaker pad of 4 layers of microfiber terry-cloth, these diapers facilitate very quick and easy diaper changes! Our Magic-Alls ALSO have a pocket opening sewn in to the back of the diaper… so you can use this as an AIO diaper, AND you have the ability to customize the absorbency to suit baby’s own needs at times when extra absorbency might be needed! If baby is a heavy wetter or the diaper will need to be worn for an extended period, such as during nap-time, simply insert a bamboo ‘Boost-It’ (1 included with each diaper) and the absorbency of your Minkee Magic Alls is immediately doubled! Cross over snaps for the perfect fit. No cover needed – the plush minkee outer is far too gorgeous!
Ease of Use ✰✰✰✰ This diaper has snaps, and we all know that my rating system takes a star away automatically for that. There are a total of 4 snaps to affix, but since it is an All in One, you don’t even have to stuff the diaper before use. You also won’t need to worry with laundry tabs. Snapping diapers can be challenging with those wriggly babies like mine, who likes to stand up or roll over while being changed. But, so can aplix diapers! You will need to either run your dryer cycle twice, or let this diaper air dry for a day or two. Like most All in Ones, this take a long time to dry.
Bang for the Buck ✰✰✰The Minky makes this diaper a little pricier than most. And, compared to the traditional PUL Magic-All, it is quite a bit more! I am conflicted on the value. Other Minky diapers run 30.00 plus, whereas this one is 26.00. The new PUL version is only, 20.50 dollars.
Performance ✰✰✰✰✰ No complaints here! The soaker is absorbent enoughfor day and nap time use. I used a microfiber doubler for overnights. No leaking whatsoever.
Fit✰✰✰✰ The fit if this diaper is pretty good for my son. He has the snaps almost touching. Since it is a sized diaper I have a hard time believing a diaper would need the second cross over snap. In the video, you can see how tiny the waist gets, but with the rise being that long would a baby ever need that? If it were a one size diaper that would make sense to me. The legs were not loose, but close. He is on the average size of thighs, so maybe a baby with skinny legs would possibly need the thigh holes tighter. This is conjecture since I only tested this on my son. The rise is pretty perfect. It is on the higher end of rises for medium diapers I have tried, but that doesn’t bother me. In fact, that means there is lots of room for growth.
Overall- The Minkee Magic-All comes in some really fabulous colors! I had a hard time deciding, truthfully. And the minky is nice and soft! I love that it is an All in One with the pocket for nights. And I love snap diapers, so win there too.
Drybees AIO Hybrid is a sized, All-in-One diaper with a Microfiber soaker but also with a pocket to add more absorbency for nights and naps, or heavy wetters. It comes in lots of colors and even prints!
Ease of Use ✰✰✰✰✰ You won’t find an easier diaper than this! As the video shows, other than affixing laundry tabs (and disposing of poop in your toilet) this diaper goes on exactly as a disposable. It really is that simple. Bang for the Buck ✰✰✰✰ The price point is 16.95. You can buy one size diapers for 17.95, but they are pockets that you will have to stuff and restuff. AIO‘s are typically a little pricier than pockets for the convenience factor. If you do end up needing more absorbency you will have to buy doublers or inserts, which will add to the cost. Most of us, however, will have more absorbent diapers for those occasions. I think it is worthwhile to have a diaper like this on hand for the times you have family watching your baby, or a babysitter. It is also a nice way to help ease dads into cloth diapering (or yourself). Performance ✰✰✰✰ Because the Drybees has 3 layers of microfiber it has a good amount of absorbency. This is the same amount of layers as most microfiber inserts. But, I wouldn’t use it overnight without adding more to it. 3 layers just isn’t enough if your baby sleeps through the night or doesn’t get changed until the morning. It works perfectly well for daytime use and I never experienced a leak, even for naps. Fit ✰✰✰✰ The Drybees AIO Hybrid comes in sizes. My son wore a medium and it fit very well. The tabs closed completely with no velcro showing so there is a lot of room for growth around the waist. The rise was at the right level, and there is room for growth there also. I would look closely at the size chart when selecting your diaper. When I would say Medium, their chart has large listed. Always consult the chart because every diaper is made differently. Some diapers are still size “small” that fit my son. Since this closes with velcro you get a good waist fit and no gaps in sizing like can happen with snaps. The leg elastic was big enough for a baby with medium chunk in the thighs, but I think it would even fit a pretty chunky baby since it wasn’t too tight on mine. Overall- While this diaper isn’t FABULOUS, it isn’t meant to be. It is a basic AIO, it does the job, and it is super easy. I cannot complain about much. I will say that the lining could be a little softer. The nature of AIO‘s means that the drying time is going to be longer. Also, since this diaper has a microfiber soaker sewn in, there might be a lingering smell problem. I noticed that stink is a little stronger with this AIO Microfiber diaper (and another similar one I have) than with just microfiber inserts. On a happy note, the laundry tabs have worked very well. So far these tabs have no come unstuck for me. I would recommend these for anyone looking for a SUPER easy diaper.
Many people ask, what is the major difference between the Bum Genius AIO Organic OS, and the Bum Genius 3.0 OS Pocket. I hope you find this video review helpful to you in answering questions about the Organic AIO. It is my favorite cloth diaper that I have tried so far. I find that most people who are interested in cloth diapering do not have access to diapers in real life. This is why I started doing video reviews, to show the ins and outs of a diaper for moms who have read a million reviews but still can’t decide. If there is a diaper you wish to see reviewed, leave me a comment and I will try to make it happen.
UPDATE!
I am updating my older reviews to include the category Durability. I did not start using the star rating system until after this review was written/ filmed. I do still want to include the update since I believe it is an important aspect of reviews.
Durability ✰✰✰✰✰- The Bum Genius AIO Organic with SNAPS is still among my favorite cloth diapers. I purchased this diaper with my own money (a few actually) and still use them. I also purchased the Aplix version which has since been discontinued. The Aplix version would get a 2 star because everyone I purchased doesn’t stick anymore. The velcro is horribly fuzzy and the tabs were coming unsewn. The snaps version of the BG AIO Organic has held up wonderfully after almost a year and a half of constant use. These diapers get picked by me daily, and my husband. They get washed more than almost any diaper I own.
There are small holes in the cotton, but not the soaker. The cotton next to the PUL. These holes have occured around the legs and at the corner where the soaker is sewn in. I view these as a badge of honor more than a defect. After washing and wearing something this much I expect sign of use.
The PUL looks brand new, there is no sign of distress on the snaps or around them. The soakers are white (they are tan new) and I assume this is from washing and sunning them so many times. The cotton isn’t as soft as new, but I wouldn’t say it is rough.
I am very pleased with the durability and workmanship of the BG AIO Organic with SNAPS.
There seems to be a few different categories of cloth diapering moms. They are by no means mutually exclusive, I myself fall into a few, but in varying degrees. These are observations I have made since diving headfirst into many different cloth diapering communities.
1. The Frugal Cloth Mama: This mama cloth diapers to save some green. Her initial interest stemmed from either wanting to save money or NEEDING to save money due to financial distress. This mom may not be concerned with the cutest diapers, but with what works and that she can afford.
T
This mom most likely uses: prefolds, PUL covers, Fleece Covers, Wool Covers, DIY or WAHM made diapers.
2. The Environmental Mama: This mama decided to cloth diaper because she was concerned about the waste produced by disposables. She is probably worried about the chemicals in the disposables as well, and loves cloth because it keeps her baby’s bum rash free (who doesn’t?)
This mom most likely uses anything out there, though she may be more likely to pick diapers made from organic fibers like organic bamboo velour fitteds and wool covers.
3. The Fashionable Mom: This mom decided to cloth diaper because she couldn’t resist the amazing array of cute fluff! The patterns, the colors, the styles!!! Who wouldn’t want to cloth diaper with the choices out there today?
This mom most likely uses fitteds (Goodmamas) and covers or AIO‘s or Pockets in colorful colors and patterns.
4. The Underground Fluff Addict: This mama is in it for the thrill of the hunt. She probably didn’t start cloth diapering to stalk hyena cart but she is hooked now! She will stalk BSRB, Goodmama, Muttaquin, or the other “underground” cloth designers who have limited quantities and numerous fans. This mama may even pay 70.00 for a certain diaper whose print is no longer available. AND this mom probably has matching sets custom made to coordinate with her diapers. This mom is definitely not in cloth diapering to save money!
This mom most likely uses Goodmama, Muttaquin, Bagshot Row Bamboo, PB and Ellie, Cranky Pants, Sustainable Babyish, and way more than I can name!
