It is not secret that I have a passion for educationg families about cloth diapers. Therefore it has been an honor to work with Giving Diapers, Giving Hope- a cloth diaper lending foundation- as a member of the Board of Directors for the past 10 months.
If you haven’t heard about Giving Diapers, Giving Hope I will give you a bit of background on their wonderful organization.
In April 2010, Giving Diapers, Giving Hope was started by Kristen McCarthy and Emily Glover as a local cloth diaper lending foundation for Gloucester, MA. Within weeks of beginning their local service, GDGH’s Facebook page and email inbox were full of inquiries from parents across the country. To meet this need, Kristen and Emily decided to expand and accept applications from families throughout the United States. Over the last 10 months, Giving Diapers, Giving Hope has already managed to help over 70 families cloth diaper their babies.
2011 was a great year but 2012 is going to be even better! As a way to help Giving Diapers, Giving Hope I’ll be throwing a fundraiser with two parts.
