We are quickly nearing the 3rd Annual Flats and Handwashing Challenge which will be May 20-26. Many of you may be curious about flats or want to purchase some to participate. Each year many retailers and manufacturers offer discounts to coincide with the Challenge. This year I have worked with these retailers on spreading the word! The sales listed on this page are here because the companies have all agreed to make a donation to Giving Diapers, Giving Hope or the cloth diaper charity of their choice! This is one way to make a little good come from the Challenge. If you plan to purchase flats or covers for the event please consider supporting one of these companies!
GeffenBaby makes prefolds and flats. These flats aren’t the standard material- they are cotton/hemp jersey with a little stretch that make them great for getting a perfect fit. GeffenBaby have always been so supportive of GDGH and cloth diaper advocacy so I’m thrilled to list them here.
Use code “Flats” on Geffenbaby.com to get free shipping in the US on orders with 1 or more flats included.
Diaper Junction sells their own brand of flat cloth diapers- Diaper Rite- which I tried last year and really loved! Diaper Junction always participates each year so you can find relevant posts on their blog as well as we near the challenge.

Figgy Fuzz is another retailer that will be discounting items helpful for those participating in the Flats Challenge. Their sale will run May 1-May 19.

Thank you to all of the participating companies who have been so generous. I like to stress during this event that we should all find ways of using it not just for awareness but also as a way to do tangible good in the world of diaper need. Being that 1 in every 3 families struggle to provide diapers for their babies * there is a lot we can do to not only spread the word that cloth diapers are an option for some, but also help provide diapers when possible. The Real Diaper Association is a great place to start if you are an individual looking to donate your time to teaching others about cloth diapers. Giving Diapers, Giving Hope is the nationwide cloth diaper lending service that I support and encourage others to donate their used or new diapers to, or if they would rather, make a monetary donation to. I’ve been serving on their Board of Directors since they began and also handle their fundraising and social media (full disclosure.)
