Rock-a-bums 5-In-1 2.0 One Size Diaper Review

The stockings are hung, the presents are wrapped, the dresses are ironed, and we’re just about ready for Christmas. In a few hours we’ll sit down to a big family dinner, followed by dessert and music at my aunt’s house. In the morning we look forward to a big family brunch and a visit from Santa. But the best part of all is being surrounded by all of our loved ones. What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?

Today I’m reviewing Rock-a-bums newest 5-in-1, the 2.0. They’re better than ever and are now offering their long anticipated prints as well as their classic rock’n’roll solid colors.
[typography font=”Crafty Girls” size=”24″ size_format=”px”]Ease of Use ✩✩✩✩✩[/typography] These diapers have always been easy to use, with so many options to adapt to your lifestyle, but now they are better than ever. They now feature on opening on both sides, which makes stuffing inserts so much easier, as well as a snap option for the insert available in the front or the back, perfect for keeping the insert exactly where you need it.

[typography font=”Crafty Girls” size=”24″ size_format=”px”]Bang for the Buck ✩✩✩✩[/typography] For 16.95 you receive a Bombshell cover and two inserts. You can double up the inserts for overnight but I’ve found these inserts to be very absorbent and when using the cover with the inserts laying in (they still have that awesome microfleece lining on one side so you can lay it against baby’s skin) I can easily make it through two diaper changes with the same cover. This is a pretty good value, and I love the versatility.

[typography font=”Crafty Girls” size=”24″ size_format=”px”]Performance ✩✩✩✩✩[/typography] The 2.0 version boasts a generous tummy panel, perfect for stopping leaks for tummy sleepers, boys, and active rollers/army crawlers. The back elastic is also wider and thicker than before, with a solid band that fits snugly against the skin without bunching for a smooth look and excellent blowout protection. It still offers great absorbency and I love the new material lining the interior, it’s so soft and sleek, and the black lining is amazing for avoiding stains, I’ve still never had to sun my Rock-a-Bums.

[typography font=”Crafty Girls” size=”24″ size_format=”px”]Fit ✩✩✩✩[/typography] Rock-a-Bums has updated their snap configuration to provide a better fit with two rows of snaps for quicker diaper changes, excellent for a wiggly toddler. They no longer offer a cross-over tab, so some very small and skinny babies may not get as good a fit, but at fourteen months my skinny little girl is able to wear hers with one rise snapped and one pair of snaps showing in the front.

[typography font=”Crafty Girls” size=”24″ size_format=”px”]Overall:[/typography] I still love my Rock-a-Bums, and I think the improvements they’ve added have made a good diaper even better. I love that you can use these covers any way you want to (I recently got to try some Flip disposable inserts in them for a road trip to North Carolina, they did great!) and the modern cool designs are perfect for parents who don’t want to give up their Doc Martens for a pair of mom jeans. You can still be yourself and express yourself with an aesthetic that doesn’t scream baby kittens and rainbows. I applaud Rock-a-Bum for having such a wonderful collection for the cool kids.
