Huh. Amazing that my daughter has been in cloth almost her whole life and has had only one cold, which she caught from my mom when she gave it to both of us. One cold in 16 months. Funny. And we use cloth overnight and, oh yeah, she climbs UP her slide, climbs into boxes, and has incredible fine motor skills. She can stack blocks and run and climb and she loves other kids and tries to do what they do. How unfortunate that her social growth and mobility are stunted. What makes me the sickest is that people actually *believe* the garbage and lies that these companies are spewing. Urgh.

Pampers has done it again! This time, they came out with a diaper that is 20% thinner and keeps babies up to 2 times drier than the older Pampers. Well, last week P&G shares dropped a great deal, I am assuming, because of these horrible new diapers. These new versions called dry max, had been sparking many many complaints from Pampers users because they are causing severe chemical burns. According to one of Pampers spokespersons, the materials in the new diapers are not new, they just replaced the paper pulp, i am thinking, with more Sodium Acrylimide Acid. Good job Pampers! Not! Take your "new diapers" and put them far far away from helpless babies who are being hurt by your productt! You people make me sick! Oh and the claim that diaper rash decreased 50% ever since disposables were intruduced is complete crap! In fact, the incidents of diaper rash has increased some 76% ever since disposables came on the market. Get your facts straight Pampers! Quit making all of these mother's complaints sound like nothing, when in fact, the complaints are a serious issue! Take them seriously and quit brushing them off! All you people care about is making money! You do not give a rats behind about the health of our youngest consumers! A diaper does not need to be as thin as a regular pair of underwear to perform well and be comfortable. My child has never ever had a leak or a blowout in his cloth diapers and those things are pretty thick, yet very comfortable to him as well. In contrast, he would kickyour lovely, super thin, very absorbant diapers away and scream and cry during a diaper change, and the diapers would constantly blow out as well so that i was doing loads of laundry every day instead of every 3 days with cloth diapers. And this is where Pampers claims are pretty dangerous. I read in an FAQ about 30 minutes ago that if a child ingests some of the SAP, that it passes harmlessly through the digestive tract. If a pet ingests as little as 5 grams of the stuff, the animal could die! Oh yes, that stuff is quite safe for ingestion. Hahaha. Sorry this post was so long. I just needed to get this off of my chest.

Sounds like more dastardly behaviour by big corporations who are selling a product in Africa where it is not needed! There are familes starving themselves already to buy the formula they were told that rich white women used, now the disposeable diaper. Of all the things Nigeria needs, Pampers are not on the list.

i used pampers on my son for the first 5 months of his life and when i would change him, both of us would constantly sneez, cough, and wheeze because of the fake powder scent in them, which, by the way pampers, does not block the very strong, overpowering urine odor that is caused by the chemical reaction of the urine with the nasty chemicals that are put in your diapers.i have asthma and those diapers did not help the matter at all. so i finally said enough of that, as well as the constant blowouts and switched to cloth, which a very good friend of mine bought because i could not afford the innitial start up cost because of the diapering system that i chose to use. no more sneezing or wheezing, no more dry patches of skin, no more fake powder scents, and no more blowouts. shame on pampers for making a product that alot of babies and moms cannot tollerate! "keeps the skin at it's natural state?" haha! do not make me laugh! dry patches all over his diaper area and lower back, as well as a constant fever around his anal opening is not a healthy state! get a grip on reality here! now5 months on from switching to cloth, we are still using it and cannot be happier.

Hmm... well, before we were CD'ing we'd use only Pampers. If we weren't CD'ing we'd be using Pampers. Can't believe they'd make a statement like that. Maybe they could say they are a good pamper to use intermittently with CD because they are the closest to keep babies dry.

I think it is time for a "Einstein wore cloth!" campaign. Nearly every thought leader in the world, in any time period, was raised in cloth. Pampers is essentially bringing back the old 60's saying, "you can't trust anyone over 30!" Anyone more than 30 years old was likely raised in cloth diapers.

If disposable diapers are so blasted healthy, why is the US infant mortality rate one of the lowest for industrialized countries?
