How to fold Cloth Wipes for a “Pop up” Effect

After my video cloth diaper tour many people asked if I would make a video of how I do my cloth wipes.  I have always had this method, since day 1 of using cloth wipes.  It just seemed logical to me to mimic the way disposable wipes come out of the box.  I use a combination of Gro Via and homemade flannel wipes.  This video features Gro Via Wipes, which are the first cloth wipes I have really liked as much as my own homemade wipes.

  2. Thanks for sharing that! Sometimes the simplest things ‘seem’ so complicated until we see them done.

It’s funny you mention this because I do this also… LOL! I always thought: “hey why not use the disposable container for something, other than opening the whole top to take one out”

Thanks for this… I got lots of questions from other moms when I do my cloth diaper demos, now I can just send them over to your site!
And… I used CW for about two months… I guess I’ll go back to them. What do you put in your solution?

Love it! Now…how to take the “treasure chest” (a.k.a. the huggies wipes box) away from my 4 year old! Hahaha…

  11. Navie says:

Wow, thanks so much for doing this video!!. We normally add our solution to the wipes, fold them in half then place them in the tub. My 3 years has always taken the wipes out through the top and I never figured out how to do this. Thanks so much. Great video and will share with others.

    Glad everyone enjoyed the video!

I have always used wipe cubes and water. Monkey Doodlez or Clean B wipe cubes mostly. Clean B makes warm vanilla sugar scented cubes that make your whole room smell good every time you spray a wipe. Yummy!

To make my wipes I cut up 8×8 pieces of flannel, doubled them, sewwed all but a corner, turned inside out, and sewed the edges all around. Easy peasy!
