This Monday’s Video Review is for ES Baby. Christine, the WAHM behind the brand, is so local to me that I was able to drive and pick these covers up to review! All of her items are adorable, and she is open to custom orders. I am in love with these covers! I have switched over from using a double stuffed BlueBerry OS to using the ES Baby Lights Out cover with a fitted overnight. Go on over to ESBaby.net and see all of the gorgeous creations this mama has to offer.
Ease of Use ✰✰✰✰
This cover gets 4 out of 5. The snaps, which need to be snapped inside the tab, and on the end of the tab, make it hard to snap on a wriggling baby! But, with practice, it can be done!
Bang for the Buck ✰✰✰✰✰
The wrapping cover is ten dollars, and the lights out cover is twelve. Since each of these covers worked really well, I say five stars! Plus, it is had to find snap closure covers. Another reason this cover is a great deal: The fabulous patterns you can get it in. For less than a big brand name cover you can choose from adorable colors and prints.
Another five stars! I have had zero leaks with the lights out cover, and only one instance of wicking with the wrapping cover. This was my fault for leaving the diaper on too long. Since the wrapping cover has a cotton print, this is a possibility if it is left on too long. When used properly, no issue with the wrapping cover either. There are no leg gussets, but I am a firm believer that is your have a prefold on properly, or the fitted works as it should, you don’t need them.
This one gets four stars. The only reason I give it four is that I had some issues with the leg elastic being a bit tight for my son. I do think once he starts crawling his thighs will slim down, and this is going to happen any day now, so his thighs are probably as big around as they are going to get for this age range.
Thanks go to Christine (ES Baby) for letting me test out her product. I am really impressed with the workmanship, value, and style of these covers. Don’t forget to check out all of the other great diapers, wet bags, and mama cloth by ES Baby.
