Daddy & Co. Diaper Bag Review (AKA Go Gaga Diaper Bag)

Once upon a time I was browsing a local diaper shop and came across a diaper bag that I instantly fell in love with.  Diaper Lab, local to the Boston area where I was vacationing, had the Go Gaga diaper bag that had this unique and very smart strap that used fabric the same way a ring sling does or a wrap- the fabric spreads out and this distributes the weight more evenly- genius!

Sadly that company stopped producing bags but the great news is that Daddy&Co. has brought it back!  New company but the bag itself is the same design and it has a new name- Daddy Diaper Packs.  I will admit this video and post are soooo overdue!  Forgive me for the late posting but I’m still so excited to share this great bag with you.

The Daddy&Co bags come in two styles- the Slide or the Messenger- I was given the Daddy Slide Bag to try.  Even though my babies aren’t little anymore I’ve been able to test drive it since it is a bag for carrying things (we all need those) and even loaded it up with the same items I used in my diaper bag days to see how my typical day’s worth of items fit inside.  I’m even using it to hold some of my camera gear!

Other than the great fabric strap that makes the bag so confortable, the Daddy Diaper Pack has some very practical extras- a wipes case, a changing mat, a cell phone case on the strap for easy access, and two places to put bottles or other beverages on the outside.  The new owner even mentioned how it makes a great wine date bag since the bottles can go on the side!  babies and wine don’t normally mix well but it’s a way to extend the use when your child is no longer in diapers.  I also see lots of men who use it as a laptop bag- especially at ABC Kids Expo!

Overall I prefer this style of diaper bag (messenger bag/cross body) to ones that go over the shoulder alone but used a backpack style since it worked best for babywearing.  The style of this bag along with the comfort make it awesome for all family members and the colors are all gender neutral and modern.  It’s especially nice to have so many thoughtful options- the wipe case is my favorite feature other than the incredible strap!

You can find it carried at several stores, including Amazon and specialty retailers.

I remember that day at Diaper Lab. I live how the strap feels and am so glad this bag is coming back. It also has the best bottle pocket for a big adult water bottle.

I feels like a million years ago but I remember how in love I was with it. The cost can be prohibitive but it definitely works great beyond babies, the compartments even kept my camera gear safe today!

I love the idea of this bag. I wish it had organizer pockets inside. (I wish that for all the diaper bags though!) Christmas present anyone?

I love this! I think my husband would really like it to, especially since he’s usually the one carrying the diaper bag around for us…

Looks really nice – would this work for baby-wearing?

We love the Daddy Co. products. I’ve been looking for a gender-neutral bag that he’d feel comfortable carrying. I’m not sure if he’d like that strap, through.
