CYA Wrapping Wool Cover Review

I contacted CYA (Cloth for your Angel) about Wool Week because I loved the design of her diapers, as well as the idea of a velcro closing wool cover.  Many wool covers are designed to pull on.  Depending on my son’s mood, this is something that he isn’t having!  I found CYA through Diaperpin.com and the reviews were all very good, something I look for when trying a new diaper.
About CYA Wool Covers:

Wool covers are great for heavy wetters and nighttime use. My wool covers are two layers of soft wool flannel or knit and are available in a great assortment of beautiful colors. CYA also offers a really fabulous service where you can send in your old wool sweaters and have them made into diapers!  I am in love with this idea!  I have one sweater in an argyle print and another cashmere sweater that I am debating about having made into diapers.  The other awesome thing about CYA, the covers come lanolized!  What a timesaver!

Review:

I have been using this cover for quite some time now.  It is one of my favorites because it has a very adorable design.  It is a snug fit on him.  I worked with Erika on sizes to determine which would be best for my son.  She was EXTREMELY helpful in helping me decide between the Small and Medium.  While typically he wears a Medium in most diapers, her sizes were slightly different.  We picked a Small and it fit like a glove!

The CYA cover is very lightweight, even with it being two layers.  It is really perfect as a summer, warm weather cover for that reason.  Pair it with a fun top and you are good to go!  Because they are so stylish you won’t want to cover it up.

Because the CYA has velcro you will want to be careful when washing it.  If you are washing it with any other covers (as long as they are like colors, remember, wool colors can bleed!) just be mindful not to snag the velcro on any other covers.  It isn’t a huge pain in the butt that the diaper doesn’t have laundry tabs since you are hand washing them.

So, how did it fare?  This diaper worked so great!  I have been using it overnight with fitteds and I haven’t had any leaks.  Wool really is the perfect nighttime cover.  I appreciate that this cover has velcro closure because it makes diaper changes that much faster.
