Ask Kim from DDL a Question: Part 2

Part 2 of my Q&A session answers questions about nursing a newborn to toddler in carrier, where I got my boys’ names from, a prepping question, and dispelling a stripping myth.  My children make a more vocal appearance in this half so be warned, it might get loud!  If you missed Part 1 catch it here.

Thanks for answering my question, Kim.  I feel like I should bookmark this video and watch it when I need an instant laugh.  There were so many funny things in it.  Thank you for the smiles!

P.S.  The first thing I thought of when you mentioned the name Otis was Otis Spunkmeyer (sp?) cookies.  Yum!  I think a baby with that name would be very sweet and possibly a sweet chubby baby like Everett.

P.P.S.  I feel a bit famous since you actually used my name verbally in your video.  =)

I have a ring sling I was super excited about, too, and my daughter doesn’t like it. She tolerated it for about five minutes before demanding to be let out, and that was when she was just a couple months old. She got less tolerant as she got more mobile. I don’t even know where I put it now.

Have you ever tried Knickernappies Super Do inserts for overnight? My daughter–who nurses through the night and pees a ton–can usually get through the night with a Super Do stuffed in her diaper (though getting the fit just right has been tricky; it works better with some diapers than others).

If you could make a diaper what would your design be? Give specific details. Like Velcro, gussets etc.

Thanks for answering my question about overnight diapers. I looked at the Mother-Ease website, and they have an introductory offer where you can get 1 Sandy’s Diaper, 1 Sandy’s Absorbent Liner, and 1 Air-Flow Snap Cover for 30% off (currently it’s $21.95 US). I think I’ll do this to try it out. Thanks for the tip!
